in EQUINE DENTISTRY and FACIAL/SINUS SURGERIES
at EVDS, Grafton NSW
Key Speakers will be Specialists Prof Gary Wilson and Assoc Prof Denis Verwilghen (Uni of Syd)
Lectures and practical sessions will cover:
- Brief Review of nerve blocks
- Review in Lecture on Use of CT for investigating dental disease
- Canine Extractions
- Investigation and treatment of sinus disease including sinus flaps and large trephines
- Sinoscopy – trans nasal and via trephination
- Practical oroscopy including intra-oral instrument handling
- Sectioning teeth to aid in extraction
- Advances in treatment of periodontal disease
- Introduction to advanced extraction techniques
- Minimally invasive transbuccal extractions
- Buccotomies
- Mandibular and maxillary repulsions
- MIR: minimal invasive repulsion
- Introduction to Dealing with fistulas
Registrants will work in pairs in the practical sessions, with one tutor to every 2-3 registrants.
If you think you have enough experience in the field to attend Level 3 but haven’t completed Level 2, you may still be able to attend by applying to EVDS for special consideration.
